Job Description:

Your way to impact :

As a Software Engineer you will work within a team of highly talented engineers, product engineer and architects to design, develop, & maintain a highly scalable, reliable Test infrastructure platform. In this role, you will use your skills & experience as a software engineer, to influence the platform vision, architecture and execution of the key capabilities of PayPal’s Developer experience platform.

Your day to day

• You will be involved in all aspects of the SDLC, from ideation to scoping to design & implementation.
• You will lead by example, and elevate the design, implementation, quality, and strong engineering practices across the team
• Work with cross-functional groups and getting results in matrix organizations.
• Maintain and enhance the existing architectural & developer documentations and create new ones.
• Consistently invest in your career growth through new technical or soft skills learnings.

What do you need to bring:

• Should have 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable distributed services and platforms.
• Strong experience in some of the following technologies is highly desirable: Java, Python, Golang, Node.js, Docker, Mesos, Aurora, Kubernetes, BigQuery and Google Cloud Technologies , Kafka, Machine Learning and scripting
• Experience in building Frameworks, products for technology platforms is a must.
• Knowledge of Go and GDS a huge plus
• Knowledge and experience in cloud technologies and Google Cloud a huge plus
• Prior experience in building infrastructure for instrumenting, reporting, monitoring and alerting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
• BS or MS in computer science or equivalent
